We arrived in Les Gets with absolutely no hotel reservation and decided to walk into Hotel Bellevue. Looking back, I think we got incredibly lucky because I truly believe we stumbled into the best location in town.
Tom greeted us when we arrived and was able to get us into a king room with a balcony overlooking the mountains. Waking up to that view every morning was unforgettable. The hotel sits right at the base of the mountain with the bike lift literally next door, making it the perfect location whether you’re visiting for mountain biking or ski season.
Marie at the front desk was an absolute delight. She gave us wonderful recommendations around town, answered every question we had, and was genuinely so friendly that I honestly felt like we could have sat down and enjoyed a drink together. Every member of the staff was welcoming, and everyone spoke English, which made our stay so much easier coming from the United States.
The room itself was spacious with plenty of storage, an incredibly comfortable bed and pillows, and a fantastic shower with perfect water pressure. I especially appreciated the heated towel rack, robes, and slippers—those little touches made it feel extra special. Housekeeping came every day, made the bed, and replaced towels as needed. After spending all day riding the bike park, there was nothing better than coming back to a fresh, clean room.
The restaurant and outdoor bar were another highlight. The seasonal cocktails were delicious and refreshing, and the fondue was my favorite meal of the trip. The outdoor space is incredible, with plenty of seating, yard games, a bounce house for kids, and even live music on the stage. It was wonderful seeing so many families enjoying the space together, and it made me excited to come back one day with my own kids.
One thing that really surprised me was how peaceful the hotel was at night. Around 10 p.m., everything outside quieted down completely. We slept with the balcony doors open every night and didn’t hear a single car, person, or other noise. It was incredibly peaceful, and the dark mountain nights made for some of the best sleep I’ve had in a long time.
The breakfast buffet each morning was well worth it and was the perfect way to fuel up before heading out for a full day of mountain biking.
Bellevue also has a private spa that you can reserve, complete with a hot tub, steam room, sauna, and showers—a perfect way to relax after a day on the trails.
What made this stay truly memorable, though, was the people. Every single person we met made us feel genuinely welcome and right at home.
If you’re planning a trip to Les Gets for mountain biking or skiing, I can’t recommend Hotel Bellevue enough. We’ll absolutely be back.
