We ended up eating at the restaurant in the Bellevue Hotel three times during a nine day skiing holiday. We were a varied group of skiers and non skiers Decent choice of dishes on the menu and nothing disappointed. For a ski resort restaurant it is priced reasonably. The service was good and very friendly despite being extremely busy, and suffering from temporary pandemic related staffing issues. Can thoroughly recommend for a great lunch
We had an amazing meal last night and the food and staff were excellent. It was the best sea bass dish I’ve ever had. If you like amazing food and brilliant staff, who also speak great English, then you need to go and visit Tom, Mo, Alex and Antoine at the Bellevue.
Definitely the best apres bar in les gets. Used to work in les gets and always finished a long day's skiing of here. Such a great vibe and great fun. Great music and great fun. Definitely recommend it to anyone that goes to les gets. Music and drinks go on till late. Perfect location right on the bottom of the slopes.
We ate here for lunch after a morning of biking. The staff members were lovely and the food was excellent. I had a steak, my wife had noodles, my daughter had pasta and my son had steak hache. All of the food was cooked to a very high standard and we all really enjoyed our food. We returned another day for drinks and ice cream and again enjoyed excellent service. Overall a very positive experience!TIP: If you are there for food they will serve you at the outside tables, but if you are just there for drinks you need to order at the bar. they are very clear and helpful though.
Great place for a rest after a walk in the mountains. We visited this place in the summer when there was an aircastle in front of the place, so great for the kids to play while you are enjoying your drink.
Excellent vegetarian menu and a surprising lemon pie
We had an excellent evening meal here. Vegetarians are spoilt for choice with a whole page of the menu! We both chose the wok de petites legumes croquants - served in a large bowl - a delicious mix of hot broccoli and a variety of other vegetables with peanuts in a slightly sweet sauce which could be mopped up with the bread - superb! Our friends had a burger and which they enjoyed. Our dessert of “lemon pie” was amazing and highly recommended - we were assured by the friendly waiting team that it was all made in house.
I was visiting friends in Les Gets and stayed here. Such a lovely family hotel so friendly. Room was lovely and cosy. Great view from my room and it was v quiet at night. Also great outside bar in the evening. I will definately return.
Had lunch here the day we arrived. Great food and service and we always get a lovely welcome from Anne -Marie and Michel. Hope to stay here again soon and not just visit for food and drinks. Great apres ski bar right on the piste.
We were very lucky to get a room here at pretty short notice, for a 3 night break. I booked it only a couple of weeks before we arrived and spotted it on a travel website but booked direct through the hotel's website. I believe we had a Superior room (which is all that was left) which had 2 large balconies and was in the corner of the hotel so overlooked both the slopes and the road. The room was lovely with all the amenities you would expect. When we first arrived late afternoon, I was a bit concerned as it seemed very noisy in the bar (below our room) and also there are lots of deckchairs on the snow near the outside bar area with people drinking/chatting. There was loud music too. I thought I’d never get any sleep! But the slightly more mature lady with the short dark hair, (who we thought was charming) assured us it quietened down in the early evening, which it did, so I slept well. On our last morning she also allowed us to see a room which we are considering booking if we come back next year with our children (this year we managed to escape without them). We generally go for 4 or 5-star hotels but I have to ask myself why, when this 3-star hotel is so good! We've stayed in some of the best hotels in London (Claridge’s, The Connaught, The Berkeley etc) but the general ambience of Bellevue was as good as some of these. Also, the location! Wow! Couldn't be more convenient for the lift. Loved the hot tub on the 3rd floor too. A lovely little treat and I like that you pre-book it so you don't have to share. We used it twice and I didn't have any trouble getting a slot. Also booked it on our last day at lunchtime, which meant we could have the morning on the slopes and then use the spa area for a quick shower before heading onto the airport smelling fresh. We could store our suitcases in the playroom upstairs too (opposite the spa). Again, so convenient! We ate in the hotel on our second night and whilst it was perfectly ok (I had the Suggestion du Jour which is exceptional value), it wasn't amazing. But breakfast was fab and I loved the croissants (you would hope they'd be good though being in France). If I had one negative to say (and it's definitely not a reason to not come here, just book it now!), it's that the boot room doesn't appear to be heated. On our 2nd morning my snowboard boots were wet. That afternoon I took them across to Jordan Sports (where I'd hired my snowboard from) and they kindly heated them overnight for me with no charge, even though they were my own boots.

What an amazing spot! 14 of us (3 families) lunched here every day of our skiing holiday last week and every day both the food and staff were fantastic! Tom and the team, Bryan, Adrien, Hugo and Matlys are so welcoming and fun ... lunch became an additional highlight of the day. Thank you guys and see you next year!!
February halfterm and the resort was heaving..yet every lunch time Tom and his team accommodated 14 of us. The service was impeccable and the food was always delicious! The staff especially Brian and Tom were always friendly, attentive and happy to enjoy a joke and chat with us! Will be back next year and most definitely will return..the best restaurant at the foot of the slopes!
We visited this place for lunch 6 days in a row with a between 12-16 people. Sebastian and Morgiane took on exhausted kids, thirsty adults and made the afternoon ski school possible!! The food was delicious, the wine and beer was perfect and service was excellent, I would 100% recommend this place for all families! Love from the ‘Irish’ x
Amazing food with equally amazing staff such as Tom, Sebastian, Mo and Dillon all of the food we ate was to perfection and none of it was wrong in any way. The staff are genuine and are happy to have a laugh. Overall best restaurant in les gets with an amazing view of the slopes and mountains!
Mo kindly managed to fit us in with a late booking tonight and I’m so glad she did. The service is excellent and the food is too. We felt welcome from the second we walked in to the second we left. I had the fresh salmon which was superb, Joe had spare ribs and enjoyed every one. Leah and Paul has Poulet and burger which were excellent too. Seb’s Choice of wine was spot on and Tom’s personality is great and Dylan’s attention to detail on the deserts was a1. Overall the best night we have had in Les Gets so far. Thank you xxx. The Howie’s xxx
Just had an brillIant dinner here tonight, the food was lovely and the staff are amazing. By far the best staff at any restaurant I have been into in les gets. They are genuine, lovely, funny and attentive, especially Seb, Tom and Mo! These guys are fab and have great humour! Will be returning tomorrow, highly recommend! Thank you! :)
This was our 3rd stay at this wonderful hotel. This year we were on a bed and breakfast basis with the intention of eating out in some of the surrounding local restaurants but the food was so good at the Bellevue we ate there every night! The plat du jour is excellent value and different every day. We were there for two weeks and it was different every day. All delicious local food. The á la carte menu is also excellent. Plenty of choice to satisfy everyone. The staff are delightful and take a real pride in their work. There is also a good selection of wines and other drinks. At weekends and other busy times you would be wise to book.
This will be our 3rd stay at this wonderful hotel and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Where to begin....the warm welcome from the Monsieur, Madame and their son Thomas Mugnier makes us feel like family. As always our room is beyond expectation - the most comfortable bed EVER, slippers, robes, complimentary toiletries and a sensible wardrobe with plenty of hangers for ski kit. The rooms are so quiet, sleep is never disturbed. Being right on the snow line the views are amazing and if you aren't skiing ( or if you are and need some R&R at the end of a tough day) the hotel spa soothes weary legs. A brand new hot tub, a steam room and sauna revives aching muscles. And the food.... Instead of half board the Bellevue now operates on a B&B basis with lunch and evening meals being served in the Restaurant Hotel Bellevue. There is a "Suggestion du Jour" which changes every evening and is of exceptional value (we wandered around the other eateries in Les Gets and could find no where that serves the quality of food for less than Restaurant Bellevue). If the daily menu doesn't suit, there is always the à la carte menu to choose from. Breakfast is filling and plentiful and typically French - no fry up here.. please don't complain this is a French hotel!!The Aprés ski Bar is lively and busy, the "place to be" at the end of the day to enjoy a drink at the outside bar with family and friends whilst listening to good live music. Where better to congregate while the little ones play on sledges on the hill at the hotel. And the negatives....we didn't want to come home and our waist lines were expanding with the superb food served each evening by the hugely talented chef and his team. We can't thank the wonderful Mugnier family and the smiley happy staff of Hotel Bellevue enough. Cant wait for next year when we will go back.
What great service in the bar the team generally were great. However must pick out Morgiane who clearly loves her job and it reflects in the great welcome and service during our stay. Michel has a winner and we hope she will be around next year.
Friendly staff, prompt service, delicious food, glorious sunshine... We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at this great restaurant at the foot of the slopes in Les Gets. The menu was very varied and it's an incredibly easy hop back to the lifts once you're ready...
Had a week here as a family, loved it, great location and friendly staff. Good, well appointed rooms with great views over the town and mountains. Set menu was good and gave a taste of the region, typically French (fat not rendered as much as uk taste). Family room on top floor was great for our daughter and had views over the slopes. Special mention to our waiter Brian who was great all week.
This is our 2nd year at Hotel Bellevue and I can honestly say we will definitely be returning next year and for many years to come. Exceptional hotel on the slope front. Comfortable spacious rooms with the little extras like slippers and robes that make it such a great stay. The Mungiér family are splendid hosts and their attention to detail means every guest feels special and part of the family. Superb chef providing wonderful meals. Breakfast is typically French - no "full English breakfasts" of bacon and eggs - but plenty of delicious breads, croissants and pain au chocolats. I cannot fault this gem of a hotel.
RESTAURANT review only (for summer biking season): Been going to morzine for 6 years, always make sure we stop here for lunch at least twice every time, amazing food, great staff (they speak good English too). A little quiet and more pricey at dinner time but still amazing quality.
Best restaurant burger – classic French alpine cuisine
+ best burger I've ever eaten. Classically cooked reblochon burger.+ excellent value for money.+ friendly service. - little insulting to have a waiter express surprise when an Englishman orders the hache rare.- drafty veranda area if eating outside. - cramped when busy.
We are two couples who have just returned home from a week at this hotel. First of all it is a ski/ in hotel, which is super after tiring day on slopes. The service here from the chamber maids, to the bar-staff to the restaurant staff top class. I would highly recommend and have to name-check one of the restaurants waiters, Bryan, as being superb.
The hotel is perfectly located at the bottom of the main piste, next to the lifts and opposite a ski hire shop. The inside is warm and modern. The staff are so friendly and cheery and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious, warm and clean. The food is exceptional: On half board, a different 4 course meal every night - great ingredients and lovely tastes. Would really recommend this hotel in Les Gets.
Beautifully prepared and presented mouthwatering cuisine. The chef team at Restaurant Hotel Bellevue know how to cook and their attention to detail is first class. Add to the mix a highly efficient friendly waiting staff and the result is perfection. Can't wait to go back next year when we stay at this hotel.
First time stay at this hotel and it certainly won't be the last. What a wonderful holiday. Stayed for 2 weeks in January 2017 and loved every minute. This is a typical French hotel owned by the Mugnier family since 1938. First our room - wow! Generously large with a modern bathroom (rainfall shower) and all the little touches you would expect of a 5 star hotel - robes, slippers, soft towels, shower gel, hand wash and hand cream. The bed was so comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. And the food....ah the food.....AMAZING. The morning breakfast is typically and refreshingly French. No greasy bacon and eggs but cheeses, meats, yoghurts, fromage blanc, boiled eggs, fresh fruit, dried fruit, jams and more bread than you can shake a stick at. If you are expecting an "English breakfast" there isn't one. When in France please go with the flow. We skied every day for 2 weeks and the breakfast was more than enough to fuel up on. There is a really lovely spa on the top floor which soothed our tired legs which is worth its weight in gold. Dinner was a meal we looked forward to with much anticipation every night. 4 course set menu presented with such attention to detail, the food was a culinary delight served by our favourite waiter Brian who worked so hard, always smiling with a kind word for everyone (in every language!). We can't praise this hotel highly enough. Congratulations Family Mugnier you have a gem in this hotel. Anything negative? Nope except that we had to leave after 2 weeks. Will we be back? Absolutely and that is praise in itself.
This is a truly family run hotel that is delightfully French in character. Rooms are a good size for an alpine hotel. The food is fantastic and all the better for its French style. If you are looking for an English cooked breakfast or dinner then you will be hugely disappointed, please go elsewhere. The aprés ski is excellent, frequently with live music but as previously noted stops mid evening so you get an uninterrupted sleep at night. Loved the spa area on the top floor. Ideally situated for skiing. The staff need a special mention. They are all very friendly and work extremely hard. Their attention to detail was superb, unfortunately a rarity in the UK these days. They all took a real pride in making your stay an excellent experience. They have guaranteed that we will return to room 1!
Stopped for lunch during a full day of skiing - had the very best "faux filet " steak in red wine sauce I have ever had - cooked and served to perfection - sitting outside on a very sunny day on the piste really was wonderful. That steak was the plat du jour at a very good price - friends had excellent omelettes too. I would thoroughly recommend this for lunch or evening meals.
The Bellevue is located right on the piste at the bottom of the Chavannes lift in Les Gets. Very convenient in both Winter and Summer for exploring the mountain. Rooms are an OK size, decorated in a traditional alpine style. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the mountain which was lovely. The hotel has it's own bar, which had an nice relaxed atmosphere in the summer, but was shut by 8ish so didn't disturb us in the evening. We had two issues with our stay. Firstly the Wi-Fi is difficult to connect too, and very slow when you were on. Secondly, as nicely presented as breakfast was it wasn't worth anything like 12 euros a person, for a standard continental. It was slightly cheaper in town (where you could also get a full cooked breakfast).Overall we weren't disappointed by our choice, but wouldn't necessarily return if we were back in the area.
We popped in without a booking a few days ago and were shown to a table looking out over the 'slope'Service was prompt and the food excellent and good value. It was fairly quiet by the time we left but I think that was reflective of the resort as opposed to the restaurant
We ate here one evening with our entourage of children, the restaurant has wonderful views up one of the main pistes into Les Gets. Our two youngest sons were thrilled as the piste bathers were outside working. The food and the staff were both excellent and the Fondue was gorgeous,Although we were full we still managed to have a desert which turned out to be a very good idea as they were out of this world.
Located just near the bottom of the Chavannes Express we called in at L'Apreski Bar (located at the Hotel Bellevue) for a late lunch and although the kitchen was closed they rustled up some of the best cheese and ham sandwiches I've had anywhere. The Grimberger beer was also excellent with a couple of interesting choices. Prices were amongst the lowest we found in Les Gets. Also good was the bike wash for customers - great to clear all the mud/dust away from a days riding.
this is right next to ski school so ideal for lunch after the lessons, inside and outdoor facilities, but the back dining room is more relaxed and ideal for family lunch, delicious food, good service, can't fault it.
This place is buzzing with people enjoying a bit of the après-ski atmosphere. They have live bands too. Everyone just stands around outside the hotel drinking and people-watching so wrap up warm. Good for the kids too as they can play around safely in the snow and there's a little enclosed sledging slope nearby.
Fab Location, Great Food, Miserable and Inflexible Staff
We had a few drinks here most evenings as the hotel and bar are right at the bottom of the ski slope if you ski back to Les Gets. Its a lovely place with great food and a good selection of drinks. The only thing that I disliked about this place is how utterly inflexible they are. Everything that we asked for that was not on th menu was 'not possible'. We asked for an extra bowl of chips, which was 'not possible' as we could only have chips as part of a main meal. Another day the hotel creperie was closed due to the weather, so we asked if the kitchen could make us a crepe - again 'not possible'. It was just so annoying as the attitude was 'won't do' rather than 'can't do'. They just simply couldn't be bothered. Some of the waiters were really friendly, but the general atmosphere was not, which is a real shame. If this place had some character, it would really be a holiday highlight.
We love the busy atmosphere of this restaurant and despite the hectic turnover, they cook the best omlettes in town. If you can get omlettes correct it is a good measure of the rest of the food! For its location it is reasonably priced too.
