It was a cool Friday morning, after skiing down from Morzine I had a coffee urge. Upon seeing this place in the great distance, I ski'd down put my skis away and walked over to the outside bar. I ordered one latte, it was the best latte I had during my trip. Thank you too the guy that served me.

Excellent family-run hotel. Very friendly. Great service. Very comfortable rooms. Excellent location in the town centre, next to the piste, short walks to the lifts for both sides of the valley. Great breakfast, restaurant, bar. Large sunny terrace. Best position for the Monday evening ESF torchlight descent. Very good small spa (sauna, hammam, hot tub) that you can book for half hour private use.

This restaurant was the best I'd eaten at all week. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and catered for my friend who was Gluten Free. My wife had the best Lasagne she'd ever eaten and when sampling it I agreed. For the 1st time in my life (I'm 45), I was asked by our server if my steak was pink enough and to my satisfaction and it was. Great find and will return when in Les Gets.

Wow, this place just gets better and better. We have visited tge bar and restaurant for over 10 years, staying for the first time last March, we enjoyed it so much and returned 8th Jan for 6 nights. Our expectations were surpassed in so many ways, yes the snow wasn’t the best, however, Thomas and his team went above and beyond to make sure we had a great holiday and really did go the extra mile - thank you especially to Thomas and Antoin for avoriaz, much appreciated. We stayed in a double room with large balcony, spacious enough for two and very comfortable, spotlessly clean. The food and service is excellent, all of the staff are so friendly and make you feel so welcome, we have stayed in several hotels and chalets over the years, this is hands down our favorite and our preferred option, fingers crossed we can get a room in March Thank you for a great stay

Fabulous everytime

Finally time to write a review after visiting for many years. We have enjoyed more delicious food and excellent service this week. The plat du jour is great value for money, favorite so far has been the lasagne. OH has had tartiflette twice as well as the risotto which was very good. Service is amazing, always friendly and knowledgeable whilst not too intrusive. Great choices of wine available too. The restaurant and hotel has a real family feel, you always get a warm welcome from Thomas and his team. Highly recommend

The staff were the most helpful and friendly staff I have ever met! They made us feel the most important guests within the hotel and would always appear to put us at their top of their list. Nothing was too much effort! We stayed in a 4 bed room- double bed with bunk beds. The rooms were incredibly clean and well stocked. I have two teenagers in the room and there was enough room for all of us and ample storage! This is the best and most fun hotel I have stayed in in Les Gets. 100% would recommend and will return.

Having stayed in the resort numerous times, this hotel is by far the best we have encountered in Les Gets. We were a mix of adults and teenagers and it caters well for both. The rooms are beautifully clean and contemporary in decor and the staff exceptional in their courteousness, hospitality and friendliness. Rental of ski equipment is literally across the street so very quick and easy and the hotel offer a discount with them plus easily organised our ski passes. The food was delicious and a good selection, whether looking for casual or fine dining. Skiing is directly to and from the hotel and buzzing Apres ski at the outdoor bar till about 6pm. Well done Bellevue staff. We would definitely stay again.

Great restaurant at the bottom of the slopes

We ended up eating at the restaurant in the Bellevue Hotel three times during a nine day skiing holiday. We were a varied group of skiers and non skiers Decent choice of dishes on the menu and nothing disappointed. For a ski resort restaurant it is priced reasonably. The service was good and very friendly despite being extremely busy, and suffering from temporary pandemic related staffing issues. Brilliant Food and Great Service

We ate here for lunch after a morning of biking. The staff members were lovely and the food was excellent. I had a steak, my wife had noodles, my daughter had pasta and my son had steak hache. All of the food was cooked to a very high standard and we all really enjoyed our food. We returned another day for drinks and ice cream and again enjoyed excellent service. Overall a very positive experience!TIP: If you are there for food they will serve you at the outside tables, but if you are just there for drinks you need to order at the bar. they are very clear and helpful though.

Excellent vegetarian menu and a surprising lemon pie

We had an excellent evening meal here. Vegetarians are spoilt for choice with a whole page of the menu! We both chose the wok de petites legumes croquants - served in a large bowl - a delicious mix of hot broccoli and a variety of other vegetables with peanuts in a slightly sweet sauce which could be mopped up with the bread - superb! Our friends had a burger and which they enjoyed. Our dessert of “lemon pie” was amazing and highly recommended - we were assured by the friendly waiting team that it was all made in house.

Lovely hotel, would absolutely go back

We were very lucky to get a room here at pretty short notice, for a 3 night break. I booked it only a couple of weeks before we arrived and spotted it on a travel website but booked direct through the hotel's website. I believe we had a Superior room (which is all that was left) which had 2 large balconies and was in the corner of the hotel so overlooked both the slopes and the road. The room was lovely with all the amenities you would expect. When we first arrived late afternoon, I was a bit concerned as it seemed very noisy in the bar (below our room) and also there are lots of deckchairs on the snow near the outside bar area with people drinking/chatting. There was loud music too. I thought I’d never get any sleep! But the slightly more mature lady with the short dark hair, (who we thought was charming) assured us it quietened down in the early evening, which it did, so I slept well. On our last morning she also allowed us to see a room which we are considering booking if we come back next year with our children (this year we managed to escape without them). We generally go for 4 or 5-star hotels but I have to ask myself why, when this 3-star hotel is so good! We've stayed in some of the best hotels in London (Claridge’s, The Connaught, The Berkeley etc) but the general ambience of Bellevue was as good as some of these. Also, the location! Wow! Couldn't be more convenient for the lift. Loved the hot tub on the 3rd floor too. A lovely little treat and I like that you pre-book it so you don't have to share. We used it twice and I didn't have any trouble getting a slot. Also booked it on our last day at lunchtime, which meant we could have the morning on the slopes and then use the spa area for a quick shower before heading onto the airport smelling fresh. We could store our suitcases in the playroom upstairs too (opposite the spa). Again, so convenient! We ate in the hotel on our second night and whilst it was perfectly ok (I had the Suggestion du Jour which is exceptional value), it wasn't amazing. But breakfast was fab and I loved the croissants (you would hope they'd be good though being in France). If I had one negative to say (and it's definitely not a reason to not come here, just book it now!), it's that the boot room doesn't appear to be heated. On our 2nd morning my snowboard boots were wet. That afternoon I took them across to Jordan Sports (where I'd hired my snowboard from) and they kindly heated them overnight for me with no charge, even though they were my own boots.

Wow!

This was our 3rd stay at this wonderful hotel. This year we were on a bed and breakfast basis with the intention of eating out in some of the surrounding local restaurants but the food was so good at the Bellevue we ate there every night! The plat du jour is excellent value and different every day. We were there for two weeks and it was different every day. All delicious local food. The á la carte menu is also excellent. Plenty of choice to satisfy everyone. The staff are delightful and take a real pride in their work. There is also a good selection of wines and other drinks. At weekends and other busy times you would be wise to book.

Amazing hotel

This will be our 3rd stay at this wonderful hotel and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Where to begin....the warm welcome from the Monsieur, Madame and their son Thomas Mugnier makes us feel like family. As always our room is beyond expectation - the most comfortable bed EVER, slippers, robes, complimentary toiletries and a sensible wardrobe with plenty of hangers for ski kit. The rooms are so quiet, sleep is never disturbed. Being right on the snow line the views are amazing and if you aren't skiing ( or if you are and need some R&R at the end of a tough day) the hotel spa soothes weary legs. A brand new hot tub, a steam room and sauna revives aching muscles. And the food.... Instead of half board the Bellevue now operates on a B&B basis with lunch and evening meals being served in the Restaurant Hotel Bellevue. There is a "Suggestion du Jour" which changes every evening and is of exceptional value (we wandered around the other eateries in Les Gets and could find no where that serves the quality of food for less than Restaurant Bellevue). If the daily menu doesn't suit, there is always the à la carte menu to choose from. Breakfast is filling and plentiful and typically French - no fry up here.. please don't complain this is a French hotel!!The Aprés ski Bar is lively and busy, the "place to be" at the end of the day to enjoy a drink at the outside bar with family and friends whilst listening to good live music. Where better to congregate while the little ones play on sledges on the hill at the hotel. And the negatives....we didn't want to come home and our waist lines were expanding with the superb food served each evening by the hugely talented chef and his team. We can't thank the wonderful Mugnier family and the smiley happy staff of Hotel Bellevue enough. Cant wait for next year when we will go back.

This is our 2nd year at Hotel Bellevue and I can honestly say we will definitely be returning next year and for many years to come. Exceptional hotel on the slope front. Comfortable spacious rooms with the little extras like slippers and robes that make it such a great stay. The Mungiér family are splendid hosts and their attention to detail means every guest feels special and part of the family. Superb chef providing wonderful meals. We are two couples who have just returned home from a week at this hotel. First of all it is a ski/ in hotel, which is super after tiring day on slopes. Fabulous!

First time stay at this hotel and it certainly won't be the last. What a wonderful holiday. Stayed for 2 weeks in January 2017 and loved every minute. This is a typical French hotel owned by the Mugnier family since 1938. First our room - wow! Generously large with a modern bathroom (rainfall shower) and all the little touches you would expect of a 5 star hotel - robes, slippers, soft towels, shower gel, hand wash and hand cream. The bed was so comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. And the food....ah the food.....AMAZING. The morning breakfast is typically and refreshingly French. No greasy bacon and eggs but cheeses, meats, yoghurts, fromage blanc, boiled eggs, fresh fruit, dried fruit, jams and more bread than you can shake a stick at. If you are expecting an "English breakfast" there isn't one. When in France please go with the flow. We skied every day for 2 weeks and the breakfast was more than enough to fuel up on. There is a really lovely spa on the top floor which soothed our tired legs which is worth its weight in gold. Dinner was a meal we looked forward to with much anticipation every night. 4 course set menu presented with such attention to detail, the food was a culinary delight served by our favourite waiter Brian who worked so hard, always smiling with a kind word for everyone (in every language!). We can't praise this hotel highly enough. Congratulations Family Mugnier you have a gem in this hotel. Anything negative? Nope except that we had to leave after 2 weeks. Will we be back? Absolutely and that is praise in itself.

Fantastic French experience

This is a truly family run hotel that is delightfully French in character. Rooms are a good size for an alpine hotel. The food is fantastic and all the better for its French style. If you are looking for an English cooked breakfast or dinner then you will be hugely disappointed, please go elsewhere. The aprés ski is excellent, frequently with live music but as previously noted stops mid evening so you get an uninterrupted sleep at night. Loved the spa area on the top floor. Ideally situated for skiing. The staff need a special mention. They are all very friendly and work extremely hard. Their attention to detail was superb, unfortunately a rarity in the UK these days. They all took a real pride in making your stay an excellent experience. They have guaranteed that we will return to room 1!

Great lunch venue on piste at les gets

Stopped for lunch during a full day of skiing - had the very best "faux filet " steak in red wine sauce I have ever had - cooked and served to perfection - sitting outside on a very sunny day on the piste really was wonderful. Charmingly traditional, good location

The Bellevue is located right on the piste at the bottom of the Chavannes lift in Les Gets. Very convenient in both Winter and Summer for exploring the mountain. Rooms are an OK size, decorated in a traditional alpine style. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the mountain which was lovely. The hotel has it's own bar, which had an nice relaxed atmosphere in the summer, but was shut by 8ish so didn't disturb us in the evening. We had two issues with our stay. Firstly the Wi-Fi is difficult to connect too, and very slow when you were on. Secondly, as nicely presented as breakfast was it wasn't worth anything like 12 euros a person, for a standard continental. It was slightly cheaper in town (where you could also get a full cooked breakfast).Overall we weren't disappointed by our choice, but wouldn't necessarily return if we were back in the area.

Located just near the bottom of the Chavannes Express we called in at L'Apreski Bar (located at the Hotel Bellevue) for a late lunch and although the kitchen was closed they rustled up some of the best cheese and ham sandwiches I've had anywhere. The Grimberger beer was also excellent with a couple of interesting choices. Prices were amongst the lowest we found in Les Gets. Also good was the bike wash for customers - great to clear all the mud/dust away from a days riding.

Fab Location, Great Food, Miserable and Inflexible Staff

We had a few drinks here most evenings as the hotel and bar are right at the bottom of the ski slope if you ski back to Les Gets. Its a lovely place with great food and a good selection of drinks. The only thing that I disliked about this place is how utterly inflexible they are. Everything that we asked for that was not on th menu was 'not possible'. We asked for an extra bowl of chips, which was 'not possible' as we could only have chips as part of a main meal. Another day the hotel creperie was closed due to the weather, so we asked if the kitchen could make us a crepe - again 'not possible'. It was just so annoying as the attitude was 'won't do' rather than 'can't do'. They just simply couldn't be bothered. Some of the waiters were really friendly, but the general atmosphere was not, which is a real shame. If this place had some character, it would really be a holiday highlight.

Great atmosphere good food

We love the busy atmosphere of this restaurant and despite the hectic turnover, they cook the best omlettes in town. If you can get omlettes correct it is a good measure of the rest of the food! For its location it is reasonably priced too.
